Course Outline
In today’s competitive landscape, achieving operational excellence requires more than isolated process improvements; it demands a holistic approach that aligns continuous improvement projects with overarching organizational strategy and culture. This course bridges the powerful, data-driven methodology of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) with the strategic, holistic perspective of an Organizational Excellence Framework (such as the EFQM/Baldrige model). Participants will learn how to use the framework as a diagnostic tool to identify strategic improvement opportunities and then deploy LSS as the engine to execute and deliver measurable, sustainable results.
This program moves beyond teaching LSS tools in a vacuum. It focuses on selecting the right projects that deliver strategic value, ensuring leadership engagement, and creating a culture of continuous improvement that is woven into the fabric of the organization. Through a practical case study and application exercises, participants will emerge equipped to champion a integrated system of excellence that drives superior performance.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
-
Articulate the core principles and criteria of a recognized Excellence Framework (e.g., EFQM) and its connection to Lean Six Sigma.
-
Use the Excellence Framework as a diagnostic tool to conduct an organizational assessment and identify high-impact opportunities for process improvement.
-
Prioritize and select Lean Six Sigma projects that are directly aligned with strategic organizational objectives.
-
Apply advanced Lean Six Sigma tools within the structured approach of DMAIC to solve complex problems identified through the excellence lens.
-
Develop a deployment plan that integrates LSS projects into the organization’s strategic planning and performance management system.
-
