Day 2: Diagnosis and Project Selection

  • Deep Dive into the “Enablers” Criteria: Leadership, Policy & Strategy, People, Partnerships & Resources, Processes.

  • Identifying Strengths and Areas for Improvement (AFIs).

• Afternoon Session: Prioritizing and Scoping Strategic LSS Projects

  • Linking AFIs to Potential LSS Projects: Using tools like SWOT and Matrix Diagrams.

  • Project Selection based on Strategic Alignment, Financial Impact, and Feasibility.

  • Practical Exercise: Use assessment outputs to generate and prioritize a portfolio of potential LSS projects.

Day 3: Define & Measure within the Excellence Context

• Morning Session: Advanced Define Phase

  • Crafting a Project Charter that explicitly links to strategic objectives.

  • Mapping High-Level SIPOCs from an organizational perspective.

  • Identifying Key Stakeholders and securing leadership sponsorship.

• Afternoon Session: Advanced Measure Phase

  • Selecting the Right Metrics: Linking process metrics (Y’s) to organizational “Results” criteria.

  • Advanced Data Collection Planning: Ensuring data integrity for organizational-level analysis.

  • Workshop: Develop a Project Charter and Measurement Plan for a selected case study project.

Day 4: Analyze, Improve & Control for Sustainable Results

• Morning Session: Analyze & Improve Phases

  • Applying Root Cause Analysis tools to validate causes of strategic gaps.

  • Generating and Selecting Solutions that are innovative, robust, and aligned with the excellence culture.

• Afternoon Session: Control & Integration

  • Designing Control Plans that ensure sustainability and are integrated into the regular management system.

  • Calculating Project ROI and Impact on Key Organizational Results.

  • Case Study: Develop a Control Plan and create a report on the project’s impact for senior leadership.

Day 5: Deployment, Leadership, and Capstone

• Morning Session: Building a Culture of Integrated Excellence

  • Developing a Deployment Plan: How to roll out this integrated approach across the organization.

  • The Role of Leadership in Championing the Framework and LSS.

  • Communicating Value and Building Momentum.

• Afternoon Session: Capstone Project and Application
