Artificial Intelligence is reshaping societies and economies, presenting both unprecedented opportunities and complex challenges for governments worldwide. The effective integration of AI into public policy and governance is no longer optional; it is a strategic imperative for enhancing public service delivery, fostering evidence-based decision-making, and ensuring national competitiveness. However, this requires a deep understanding of how to harness AI’s potential while mitigating its risks—such as algorithmic bias, privacy concerns, and ethical dilemmas.
This executive-level course provides a comprehensive exploration of AI’s role in the public sector. It moves beyond the technical specifics to focus on strategic leadership, policy design, ethical governance, and practical implementation. Participants will learn how to develop robust AI strategies, design effective policies, and lead the transition toward responsive, efficient, and trustworthy AI-powered governance.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
-
Analyze the transformative impact of AI on public service delivery, regulatory compliance, and policy design.
-
Evaluate the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of deploying AI in governance, including issues of bias, transparency, and accountability.
-
Design a strategic roadmap for integrating AI into public sector institutions, aligned with national digital transformation goals.
